Group travel in Denmark

DMC Denmark plans and runs group travel across the country, from a long weekend in Copenhagen to a two-week itinerary that takes in Jutland, Funen and the islands. You tell us who is travelling and what they care about; we build the days around that.

Denmark rewards groups precisely because it is small. Copenhagen to Aarhus takes a few hours, castles and coastline sit within an easy drive of the capital, and a single trip can cover city design, harbour dining and open countryside without anyone spending their holiday on a motorway. Groups often extend the trip into Sweden or Norway, which we arrange through the EU DMC network.

Corporate teams, associations, university and school groups, special-interest travellers, clubs and families – we take on the accommodation, transport, guiding and meals so the person organising the trip gets to enjoy it too.

Where a group sleeps sets the tone for the whole trip. In Copenhagen that might mean a design hotel a few minutes from Nyhavn, a converted warehouse by the water, or a larger property near the conference district that can absorb 200 rooms without splitting the group across town. Outside the capital we use seaside manor houses, historic inns, and modern hotels in Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg.

We hold the block, negotiate the rate, manage the rooming list, and handle the late changes that always arrive the week before departure. Give us your numbers, your dates and a budget per person, and options come back within a few working days.

The days in between are what people remember. Groups cruise the canals and the harbour, walk the architecture and design routes with someone who can explain why the buildings look the way they do, cycle the city the way locals actually use it, and eat their way through New Nordic kitchens, street-food halls and old brewing houses.

Further out there are royal castles in North Zealand, Viking sites and museums, wide beaches on the west coast, and island day trips that take a group somewhere quiet within an hour of the city. We pick what suits your group, season and pace, book it, and send a guide who keeps the day moving without rushing it.

We meet groups at Copenhagen Airport (CPH), Billund (BLL) and Aalborg (AAL), and move them by private car, minibus or full-size coach for the rest of the stay – hotels, venues, restaurants, excursions and the return flight.

Distances here are short and the road network is good, which means an itinerary can cover several cities in a week without anyone feeling shuttled around. Where a train or ferry genuinely beats a coach, we say so and book that instead. Read more on our coach hire and transfers page.

A tour leader travels with the group from arrival to departure, holds the schedule together, and absorbs the small problems before they reach your guests. Local guides do the other half of the job – the history behind the harbour, how Danish design became an export, why hygge is more than a marketing word – so people leave understanding the place rather than just photographing it.
